Smiths Equipment Hire Ltd are the Northwest's Largest Independent Equipment Hire company with 19 ‘Hire It Centres’ located across the region.
We are looking for 3.5T Drivers / Depot Operatives to work and cover in any of the following depots: Bradford, Leeds, Castleford.
As a 3.5T Driver / Depot Operative your responsibilities will be:
- To carry out deliveries and collections to our customers in a professional manner
- Demonstrate exceptional customer service skills in all aspects of the working day
- Drive the company vehicle responsibly and safely; obeying at all times the traffic laws and highway code
- An Equipment Delivery Driver must carry out daily and weekly vehicle checks ensuring any defects found are reported to the Depot Manager
- Keep an accurate record of deliveries and collections using delivery documentation
- Washing of Equipment in preparation for hire
- Assisting drivers and customers loading and unloading of vehicles
- Warehouse organisation and security
- Notifying manager of damaged, dirty or misused equipment
As an 3.5T Driver / Depot Operative you must have:
- Full UK Clean Manual Driving Licence
- Digi Card
Working hours: Monday to Friday
