A-Z Skips Ltd is looking for a friendly, reliable and organised Weighbridge Operator to join our busy team.
This is an important customer-facing role, responsible for managing vehicles entering and leaving the site, recording waste movements accurately and helping the day-to-day operation run smoothly.
Main Responsibilities
- Operating the weighbridge and accurately recording vehicle weights
- Greeting drivers and customers in a friendly and professional manner
- Checking waste transfer notes and other required documentation
- Entering information accurately onto the company system
- Taking payments and issuing tickets or receipts
- Directing vehicles safely around the site
- Answering telephone calls and dealing with customer enquiries
- Liaising with drivers, yard staff and the management team
- Completing general administrative duties
- Following all site health, safety and environmental procedures
About You
We are looking for someone who:
- Is friendly, approachable and confident dealing with customers
- Has good computer and administrative skills
- Is organised and pays close attention to detail
- Can remain calm and professional in a busy environment
- Is reliable, punctual and works well as part of a team
- Has good communication and basic numerical skills
Previous weighbridge, waste industry or administrative experience would be helpful, but full training can be provided to the right person.
