We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Motorhome Preparation Assistant to join our team on a part-time basis.
Job Summary:
We are looking for a reliable and meticulous individual to clean, restock, and prepare our motorhomes for each new hire. This role is crucial to maintaining the high standards of cleanliness, safety, and readiness that our customers expect. The position is part-time, with flexible hours depending on booking schedules.
Key Responsibilities:
Thoroughly clean and valet the interior and exterior of motorhomes after each hire, ensuring they are spotless and ready for the next customer.
Clean all surfaces, windows, and floors; empty waste tanks; and ensure all appliances are sanitized and in working order.
Inspect upholstery, linens, and other soft furnishings for cleanliness and wear, replacing or laundering items as necessary.
- Restocking & Replenishment:
Restock motorhomes with essential supplies, including bedding, kitchenware, toiletries, and other amenities.
Ensure all inventory items are accounted for and replaced where needed.
Monitor stock levels of consumables and notify management when reordering is necessary.
- Preparation for New Hires:
Perform a thorough pre-hire inspection, checking that all equipment, appliances, and systems are functioning correctly.
Ensure motorhomes are fully fuelled, with adequate levels of water, gas, and other essential fluids.
Prepare welcome packs for customers, including vehicle manuals, maps, and other relevant information.
- Damage Inspection & Reporting:
Conduct detailed inspections for any damage or missing items after each hire, documenting findings and reporting them to management.
Assist in coordinating repairs or maintenance work as required to ensure motorhomes remain in top condition.
Skills & Qualifications:
Previous experience in vehicle valeting, cleaning, or a related role is preferred.
Experience with motorhomes, caravans, or similar vehicles is advantageous but not essential.
Strong attention to detail and a commitment to high standards of cleanliness and presentation.
Basic understanding of vehicle systems and appliances.
Ability to manage time effectively and work efficiently to meet tight turnaround schedules.
Good communication skills and the ability to follow checklists and procedures accurately.
Ability to lift and carry supplies and equipment.
Comfort with working in and around large vehicles.
Working Hours:
- Part-time position with flexible hours, typically aligned with motorhome return and hire schedules. Specific days and hours will be discussed during the interview process.
Salary:
- Competitive hourly rate based on experience.
