What if your next project helped protect the environment, improve vital infrastructure, and deliver clean water to millions?
We're looking for a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to join a growing engineering team delivering major water and wastewater projects across the UK. This is an opportunity to take technical ownership, influence complex projects from concept through to commissioning, and work alongside experienced multidisciplinary teams on infrastructure that makes a genuine difference.

The Role
You'll lead the mechanical design of water and wastewater treatment projects, providing technical expertise throughout the project lifecycle while working closely with Civil, Process and EICA engineers to deliver practical, innovative engineering solutions.
Alongside producing and reviewing high-quality design documentation, you'll support procurement, commissioning and client engagement, ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently and to the highest standards.
What We're Looking For
- Experience in mechanical design within the water, wastewater or wider process engineering sector.
- Strong understanding of mechanical design principles and industry standards.
- Experience producing technical documentation, including specifications, P&IDs and equipment schedules.
- Proficiency with 3D CAD software.
- Excellent communication skills and the confidence to lead technical discussions.
- Degree-qualified in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
- Chartered status, or working towards it, is advantageous.
Why Join?

In return, you'll enjoy genuine career progression, technically challenging work, hybrid working, and the opportunity to help shape the future of the UK's water sector.
