Duties
- Safely operate a Class 2 commercial vehicle to deliver goods to various locations
- Load and unload cargo, ensuring items are secured properly for transit
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to maintain safety standards
- Follow all traffic laws and company policies during deliveries
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers to coordinate delivery schedules
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation and logs
- Assist with flatbed loading and securing of cargo as required
Experience
- Valid Class 2 driving license with a clean driving record
- Proven experience as a commercial delivery driver, preferably with delivery driver experience
- Familiarity with flatbed transportation and securing cargo on flatbed trucks
- Strong understanding of driving regulations and safety procedures
- Ability to navigate efficiently using GPS or maps in urban and rural areas
