Job Description:
Pay: £21,000 per annum, with incremental increases throughout the apprenticeship based on successful progression and length of service.
Shift pattern: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, working within operational hours of 6.00am – 6.00pm.

Apprenticeship:
We are looking for an enthusiastic, practical and motivated individual who is passionate about learning a unique craft. This apprenticeship offers the opportunity to work alongside some of the industry's finest master craftsman while developing the skills needed to become a highly skilled Gunmaker.
The successful candidate will initially complete a Level 2 Engineering Operative Apprenticeship (13 months), before progressing to a Level 3 Engineering Technician Apprenticeship (36–48 months), subject to successful completion of Level 2.
Once qualified, also be certified by the Gun Makers Trust.
Role:
As a Craftsperson Apprentice, you will develop the specialist skills required to become a highly skilled Craftsperson, with the long-term goal of securing permanent employment within our Factory. Throughout your apprenticeship, you will gain experience across a range of specialist disciplines before progressing into one of the following areas: Action, Barrel, Engraving, Engineering, and Finishing.

Duties:
- Undertake all aspects of the apprenticeship training programme, completing practical and theoretical learning.
- Learn and develop skills across multiple craftsmanship departments.
- Operate machinery, tools and equipment safely under supervision.
- Produce work to the exceptionally high-quality standards expected by Holland & Holland.
- Follow all Health & Safety policies and safe working procedures.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues across the Factory.
- Assist in achieving production targets while maintaining quality.
- Contribute ideas for continuous improvement.
- Maintain a positive attitude towards learning and personal development.
Skills and experience:
- Excellent manual dexterity and an interest in practical work.
- A genuine passion for craftsmanship and engineering.
- A willingness to learn and take on new challenges.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Good communication skills.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Reliable, punctual and committed.
- Organised and able to manage apprenticeship coursework alongside practical work.
Essential
- GCSE Grade 4/C or above (or equivalent) in English and Maths (or willingness to achieve these as part of the apprenticeship if applicable).
- Right to work in the UK
- Ability to travel to the Factory each day
Desirable
- Previous practical or workshop experience.
- Woodworking, engineering or metalworking hobbies.
- Art, design or technical drawing interests.
