Our services include adult and paediatric hearing assessments, hearing rehabilitation, hearing aids, tinnitus management, auditory processing disorder (APD) assessment and rehabilitation, hearing protection, ear wax removal and domiciliary care.
We are seeking an experienced Senior Clinical Audiologist who is passionate about clinical excellence and enjoys working within a supportive, independent practice environment where patient care comes before targets.
The Role
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced audiologist looking for a varied and rewarding role within a growing independent practice.
You will manage a diverse caseload and play an important role in maintaining high clinical standards, supporting service development and contributing to the ongoing growth of the practice.
The successful candidate will be confident working independently while also collaborating closely with colleagues and external healthcare professionals.
Key Responsibilities
Clinical Duties
- Perform comprehensive adult diagnostic hearing assessments.
- Undertake paediatric hearing assessments where competent and appropriate.
- Carry out otoscopy, tympanometry, acoustic reflex testing and speech audiometry.
- Assess, fit, verify and review hearing aids using Real Ear Measurement.
- Provide hearing rehabilitation and counselling.
- Conduct tinnitus assessments and provide evidence-based management advice.
- Perform ear wax removal using microsuction, irrigation and instrumentation where trained.
- Identify red flags and make appropriate onward referrals.
- Produce clear, professional clinical reports and documentation.
Professional Duties
- Maintain high standards of clinical governance and record keeping.
- Participate in service development and quality improvement initiatives.
- Support the development of junior clinicians, students and trainees.
- Contribute to clinical policy and procedure development.
- Engage in continuing professional development and reflective practice.
Essential Requirements
- BSc Audiology, Healthcare Science (Audiology) degree or equivalent.
- Registration with HCPC, RCCP or equivalent professional body.
- Minimum 3 years' post-qualification audiology experience.
- Experience undertaking comprehensive adult diagnostic assessments.
- Experience fitting and verifying hearing aids using Real Ear Measurement.
- Strong clinical reasoning and decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication and counselling abilities.
- Ability to work independently and manage a varied caseload.
Desirable Requirements
- Experience in paediatric audiology.
- Experience in tinnitus assessment and management.
- Experience in ear wax removal.
- Experience supervising students or junior clinicians.
- Experience working within private healthcare.
- Interest in auditory processing disorders and auditory rehabilitation.
- Experience using NOAH and electronic patient record systems.
