National Compliance Training is expanding its instructor network across Warwickshire, Leicestershire, Staffordshire, Northamptonshire, Birmingham, Coventry and the wider West Midlands. We are looking for accredited forklift instructors who are already working on a self-employed basis and want steady, well-organised work from a provider that handles the administration properly.
This is a self-employed contract. You will need your own UTR or limited company already in place, and Public Liability and Professional Indemnity cover before your first booking.
The work
On-site operator training at customer premises across the Midlands, plus courses delivered at our own training centre in Nuneaton. Novice, refresher and conversion courses, in the categories you are approved for: counterbalance, reach, powered pallet truck, VNA, telehandler and others. Small groups, pre-agreed dates, and joining instructions issued in advance.
You are only offered work that matches your approvals and your stated travel area, so you will not be fielding calls about courses you cannot deliver or sites you will not travel to.
Rate
£150 to £200 per day, depending on course type and location. We will be straight with you about likely volume during the phone screen rather than promising work we cannot deliver.
What we need from you
Current instructor accreditation with RTITB, AITT, ITSSAR or NPORS
Public Liability and Professional Indemnity insurance, or the ability to arrange it before your first booking
Registered self-employed, with a UTR or your own limited company
Your own transport, and a professional approach to paperwork
If you are accredited with a body other than RTITB, that is not a barrier. We will talk you through cross-registration.
Why instructors work with us
We manage bookings, documentation, certification and the administration around every course. Dates, course types and joining instructions are agreed in advance, so there is no guesswork on the day. Paperwork comes with templates and clear guidance, so it is consistent and quick to submit. You concentrate on delivery.
What happens next
There are a few short questions when you apply. If it looks like a fit, we will call you within one working day for a ten minute conversation about your approvals, your travel area and rates. No drawn-out process, and no interview until we both know it is worth the time.
Pay: £150.00-£200.00 per day
