Job Summary
We are seeking a professional 7.5-ton recovery driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for safely operating a 7.5-ton flatbed vehicle to recover and deliver vehicles and equipment across various locations. This role requires a strong focus on safety, reliability, and customer service, ensuring all recoveries are completed efficiently and securely. The position offers an excellent opportunity for experienced drivers with a background in commercial driving and delivery operations.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate a 7.5-ton flatbed vehicle for vehicle recovery and delivery tasks.
- Load, secure, and unload vehicles or equipment using appropriate techniques and safety procedures.
- Conduct routine inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in optimal working condition before each shift.
- Plan routes efficiently to meet delivery deadlines while adhering to all traffic regulations and safety standards.
- Assist with the recovery of immobilised or damaged vehicles from various locations, including difficult or inaccessible sites.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, recoveries, and vehicle inspections.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, clients, and team members regarding schedules and recovery status.
- Ensure compliance with all legal requirements related to commercial driving and vehicle operation.
Skills

- Proven experience in driving a 7.5-ton flatbed or similar commercial vehicle.
- Strong knowledge of driving regulations and safety standards within the UK.
- Excellent driving skills with a clean driving record.
- Ability to handle physically demanding tasks such as loading/unloading vehicles and securing loads safely.
- Good organisational skills with the ability to plan routes effectively.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently under minimal supervision.

FULL TRAINING GIVEN
Our fleet of vehicles are at the ready 24 hours a day to service our customers. We are a vehicle operator and due to expansion are recruiting for additional staff, want to be part of a successful team?
£ Rate of pay is dependent upon skill set and experience, the right candidate will have an hourly rate that is more than competitive than industry standard, immediate starts available following training.
Hours:
- shifts available will be Weekend on call weekend off call you will be on call 25 weekends of the year
- Earlies, Mids, Lates and Nights
- The correct candidate must be able to work any day of the week inc weekend and public bank holidays

Pay: £26,500.00-£51,000.00 per year
