We're looking for an experienced butcher to join our team and play an important role in the continued development of the shop.
This is a hands-on opportunity for someone who takes real pride in their craft and wants to be part of a growing, forward-thinking independent butcher.
The Role
We're looking for a great butcher first and foremost.
You'll be responsible for preparing and presenting quality meat to a high standard, while helping us maintain a well-stocked, varied and exciting counter.
Your role will include:
- Cutting, preparing and presenting meat to a high standard
- Maintaining excellent standards of quality, freshness and presentation
- Working confidently with a variety of cuts and products
- Supporting stock control and helping ensure the counter is well stocked
- Monitoring stock levels and minimising waste
- Using your experience and knowledge to suggest new products and lines
- Helping us develop new ideas and products for our customers
- Maintaining high standards of hygiene and food safety
- Working as part of a small, friendly team
- Supporting the smooth day-to-day running of the butchery
Customer service and serving on the counter would be a bonus, but we're looking for a strong, experienced butcher first and foremost.
About You
We're looking for someone who:
- Has proven experience working as a butcher
- Takes genuine pride in their craft and quality of work
- Has strong knowledge of meat, cuts and preparation
- Is confident working independently as well as part of a team
- Has good awareness of stock control and waste
- Is creative and enjoys developing new products and ideas
- Has high standards of hygiene and food safety
- Is reliable, hardworking and takes responsibility
- Has a friendly and professional approach
