Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Weighbridge Operator to join our team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for accurately weighing and recording incoming and outgoing shipments, pricing material and ensuring site runs smoothly.
Responsibilities
- Operate the weighbridge equipment to accurately measure vehicle weights for inbound and outbound shipments
- Communicate effectively with drivers, customers and staff
- Manage shipping & receiving documentation, ensuring proper data entry and record keeping for audit purposes
- Monitor the flow of trucks in the yard, coordinating with yard manager and site staff
- Be responsible for grading and pricing of incoming and outgoing material
Experience
- Strong understanding of supply chain processes, logistics and transport
- Excellent analysis skills to interpret weight data and identify discrepancies or issues
- Effective communication skills with the ability to clearly convey information via phone or in person
- Proficiency in data entry,
- Familiarity with scrap metal grading would be beneficial
- Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining attention to detail in a fast-paced environment
