Job Title: Driver
This role is full time
Position Overview: As a Driver, you will be responsible for performing various tasks, ensuring the vehicles are moved on and off site, and kept to a high cleanliness and presentation standards, and contributing to a positive customer experience.
The Automotive Group are a successful family-owned business trading for more than 45 years offering employment, security and development in the wheelchair accessible vehicle market.
1) Vehicle Cleaning and Maintenance:
· Ensure that the vehicles on display, for demo, and for delivery are cleaned and maintained to the highest standards.
· Follow manufacturer's instructions for safely using cleaning products to achieve optimal results.
· Clean windows, wheels, door handles, mirrors, and other interior and exterior vehicle components to meet quality standards.
2) Vehicle Movement and Parking:
· Collect and deliver vehicles as needed, or move and park vehicles on-site according to operational requirements.
· Handle vehicles with care, following safety protocols to prevent any damage during movement.
3) Quality Assurance:
· Inspect vehicles for defects, damages, or discrepancies and implement comprehensive quality control processes to ensure the wheelchair-accessible vehicle modifications meet regulatory and company standards.
· Conduct thorough visual inspections of exterior and interior components, including bodywork, paint finish, upholstery, and mechanical systems.
· Test drive vehicles to assess performance, handling, and functionality, identifying any abnormal noises, vibrations, or warning indicators.
· Participate in quality control checks to ensure that vehicles meet or exceed specified standards.
· Report any quality issues or concerns to the Valet Supervisor or Quality Control Manager promptly.
4) Vehicle Repair and Maintenance:
· Attend to repairs on vehicles following instructions from the Production Manager and Quality Control Manager.
· Adhere to manufacturer's instructions and standards while conducting repairs and maintenance tasks.
· Conduct wheel alignment/tracking operations on newly converted vehicles to meet specified standards.
5) Compliance with Health and Safety Regulations:
· Adhere to health and safety regulations while performing valeting / repair tasks.
· Report any safety concerns or incidents promptly to the supervisor or management.

3) Ability to follow specific instructions and guidelines from manufacturers and supervisors.
4) Good communication skills and a professional approach to customer interactions.
5) Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
6) Flexibility to adapt to varying tasks and operational requirements.
7) Hold a valid Full UK car driving license.
8) Basic computer skills.
