Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Female Overnight Wake Carer to provide essential support and companionship to an individual in need during the overnight hours. This role offers a vital service by ensuring safety, comfort, and well-being throughout the night. Responsibilities
- Remain awake and alert throughout the night to monitor the individual’s safety and well-being
- Respond promptly and effectively to any calls or needs during the overnight period
- Assist with personal care tasks as outlined in care plans, including mobility support as required
- Maintain clear communication with family members and team members regarding any concerns or updates
- Follow detailed care plans to ensure all individual needs are met consistently and safely
- Keep accurate records of overnight activities, observations, and any incidents that occur during your shift
- Support the individual’s comfort by adjusting bedding, temperature, and environment as needed
Requirements
- Previous experience in a care is highly desirable but full training will be given
- Strong communication skills in English to effectively interact with clients, families, and team members
- Ability to follow detailed care plans with attention to safety and quality standards
- Valid driving license is preferred for transportation needs or emergencies
- Basic literacy skills for documentation and reporting purposes
- Compassionate attitude with a genuine desire to support others’ well-being
- Ability to work independently during overnight hours while maintaining vigilance
