Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Housekeeper to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and organisation within the home. Prior experience in housekeeping, or commercial cleaning is highly desirable. The position involves working efficiently to ensure high standards of hygiene and presentation are consistently met.
Duties
- Clean and sanitise rooms, bathrooms, kitchens, and communal areas according to organisational standards
- Change bed linen and organise rooms or living spaces to ensure a comfortable environment
- Sweep, mop, vacuum floors, dust surfaces, and clean windows as required
- Restock supplies such as toiletries, towels, and cleaning materials to maintain readiness for residents
- Report any maintenance issues or damages observed during cleaning routines
- Follow health and safety procedures diligently to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment
- Assist with laundry duties including washing, drying, folding, and organising clothing or linens
Skills
- Previous experience working within a care home setting , housekeeping, or commercial cleaning is advantageous
- Organised with excellent attention to detail to ensure all areas meet cleanliness standards
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Physically fit with the stamina to perform manual tasks such as lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations relevant to cleaning operations
