Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Apprentice Nursery Practitioner to join our vibrant childcare team. Responsibilities
- Assist senior nursery practitioners in planning and delivering engaging activities that promote children's learning and development
- Support children with their daily routines, including meal times, play, rest, and personal care
- Foster a safe, inclusive, and stimulating environment that encourages children's curiosity and independence
- Observe and record children's progress, sharing insights with the team to support individualised learning plans
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the nursery environment in accordance with health and safety regulations
- Communicate effectively with children, parents, and colleagues to ensure a collaborative approach to childcare
- Support the management team in implementing nursery policies and procedures
- Participate in ongoing training programmes to develop professional skills and knowledge in early childhood education
Experience
- Previous experience working with children is desirable but not essential; training will be provided for those new to childcare
- Knowledge of early childhood development principles is advantageous
- Strong management and leadership potential with an interest in progressing within the sector
- Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written
- Valid driving licence is preferred for roles involving travel between nursery locations or community activities
