We are seeking to appoint a permanent Design & Technology Technician to provide technical and practical support to staff and students, prepare materials and equipment, and help maintain a safe and effective learning environment.
The successful candidate will be computer literate, highly organised, and able to work collaboratively as part of a supportive team.

Important Details:
- Start Date: ASAP
- Contract: Permanent, term-time plus 5 days (the post holder is required to work during school term time and a further 5 days each year, as directed by the school, for training, curriculum support and other professional duties)
- Salary: Grade 3, Points 5-6, £25,583 - £25,989 (pro-rata actual £22,021.35- £22,335.30)
- Working Pattern: 35 hours a week
- Pension: Greater Manchester Pension Fund with employer contributions of 15.3%
- Location: Parrs Wood Road, Didsbury, M20 6BX
Duties of the Design & Technology Technician:
You will work in collaboration with the Design and Technology team to:
- Prepare, setup and check equipment
- Support teaching staff and pupils during lessons
- Ensure a safe working environment
- Ensure equipment adheres to health and safety standards, is operational and organise repairs where required
- Organise the storing of equipment and checking of stock
- Creative and administrative tasks
- Support with events and first aid
- Be a part of the teaching and learning team, supporting student progress and attainment
The Design & Technology Technician must:
- Have transferrable skills

- Be capable of making decisions
- Be self-motivated
- Be pro-active and highly organised
- Have good communication skills
- Enjoy a varied and reactive role
- Enjoy working with children
- Ability to follow and implement health and safety regulations (training provided)
