WE’RE HIRING – KITCHEN EXTRACTION TECHNICIAN
Location: West Midlands
Salary: From £28,000 per annum
Employment: Full-time, temp to perm.
Working pattern: Predominantly night shifts
We’re looking for a reliable, hardworking and practical person to join our growing team as a Kitchen Extraction Technician.
The role involves working mainly at night, when commercial kitchens are closed, carrying out cleaning, maintenance and inspection work on extraction systems across restaurants, pubs, hotels, care homes and other commercial premises.
THE ROLE INCLUDES
- Commercial kitchen extraction and grease duct cleaning
- Cleaning kitchen canopies, filters, fans and extraction equipment
- Working safely at height where required
- Using professional cleaning equipment and chemicals
- Completing cleaning and inspection records
- Taking before-and-after photographs of completed work
- Reporting defects, access issues and safety concerns
- Maintaining equipment and company vehicles
- Working as part of a two-person team
- Representing the company professionally at customer sites
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
- Hardworking and reliable

- Practical and hands-on
- Physically capable of carrying out a manual role
- Comfortable working at height
- Able to work effectively as part of a team
- Safety-conscious and able to follow procedures
- Professional and customer-focused
- Willing to travel between customer sites
- Able to complete paperwork and digital job reports
Previous experience in kitchen extraction cleaning, commercial cleaning, duct cleaning, ventilation, facilities management, engineering, maintenance or working at height would be an advantage.
However, experience is not essential. Full training will be provided for the right candidate.
