School Cleaner
Location: Rishton Methodist Primary School, Lancashire
Start Date: 1st September 2026
Contract: Part-Time, 10 hours per week (Monday to Friday, 3:30pm to 5:30pm)
Salary: Foundation Living Wage – £13.45 per hour
We are seeking a reliable, hardworking and conscientious School Cleaner to join our friendly team at Rishton Methodist Primary School.
This important role helps ensure that our school remains a clean, safe and welcoming environment for pupils, staff and visitors. Working after the school day has ended, you will take pride in maintaining high standards throughout the school and contributing to the wellbeing of our whole school community.
Key Responsibilities
- Cleaning classrooms, corridors, toilets and other communal areas
- Maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene throughout the school
- Using cleaning equipment and materials safely and in accordance with health and safety procedures
- Emptying bins and disposing of waste appropriately
- Reporting any maintenance issues or health and safety concerns to the relevant staff member
- Supporting the school in creating a safe, welcoming and positive environment for all
About You
The successful candidate will:
- Be reliable, punctual and able to work independently
- Have a keen eye for detail and take pride in their work
- Be committed to maintaining a clean, safe and hygienic environment
- Have previous cleaning experience (preferred but not essential)
- Be a positive team player with a strong work ethic
