Payroll Assistant
Wantage | 3-Month Contract initially | £15.38ph
Our client, a large international manufacturing organisation based in Wantage, is looking for a Payroll Assistant to join their busy payroll team on an initial 3-month contract.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with payroll or finance administration experience to gain exposure within a global business and play a key role in supporting the accurate and timely delivery of payroll services.
Key responsibilities

Supporting the preparation and processing of monthly payroll

Maintaining payroll records, including starters, leavers, salary changes, and deductions

Processing overtime, bonuses, expenses, and statutory payments

Responding to employee payroll queries and providing excellent customer service

Assisting with payroll compliance, reporting, and year-end activities

Supporting payroll system administration and data management
Key skills required
-
Previous experience in payroll or finance administration

Understanding of UK payroll processes and legislation

Strong attention to detail and data accuracy

Good Excel and IT skills

Excellent organisational and communication skills

A proactive and team-focused approach
