Job Opening: Bar Manager
Location: Hill Station Cafe SE14 5TW
Job Type: Part-Time / Full-Time, Permanent
Role Purpose
Create a vibrant and welcoming bar environment, encouraging community members to
connect and build relationships, while supporting and empowering the team to deliver excellent service.
Hours-
30-40 hours per week
4/5 shifts per week
Weekend work may be required
Reports To: General Manager
Base rate: £15.54 an hour + tips shared proportionally across service staff
Role available on PAYE or freelance basis
Probation Period: 2 months
Accountabilities-
Modelling positive leadership and fostering a culture of inclusivity, respect, team-work and community spirit.
Setting and upholding high standards of customer service, ambience, food and drink quality and cleanliness.
Providing training and development opportunities to team members.
Gathering and responding to team perspectives on operational difficulties
Developing procedures and workflows to streamline operations
Coordinating shift schedules to provide optimal coverage during peak times and adapting flexibly to changing needs.
Ordering stock to maintain consistent inventory levels.
Updating and developing menu based on industry trends and sales information
Leading or assisting with strategic projects
Requirements & Experience
Minimum of one year’s experience managing a bar
