About Us A1 Tyres & MOT Cambridge is a busy, well-established independent garage in Cambridge, offering tyre fitting, MOT testing, servicing, and a full range of auto repairs. We're known locally for friendly, honest, reliable service — and we're looking for a part-time MOT Tester to join our small team.
The Role We're looking for a qualified MOT Tester to cover MOT testing alongside our existing team. We are looking to hire part-time/full-time or regular seasonal cover.
Responsibilities
- Carry out Class 4 MOT tests (Class 7 a bonus if you're licensed for vans) to DVSA standards
- Accurately record results and advisories on the MOT Testing Service (MTS)
- Liaise with customers and the workshop team on test outcomes
- Help out with light general workshop/servicing duties between tests where needed
What We're Looking For
- Current, valid DVSA MOT Tester qualification (Class 4 essential; Class 7 desirable)
- Registered (or eligible to register) on the MOT Testing Service
- Full, clean UK driving licence
- Good communication skills and a reliable, professional manner
- Local to Cambridge or within easy commuting distance
