Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated fabricator / Welder for an IMMEDIATE Start. DRIVING IS ESSENTIAL The successful candidate will be responsible for fabricating and welding metal components mainly stainless steel with precision and attention to detail. Duties
- Perform TIG welding on various materials Stainless steel being our main metal, including sheet metal, to precise specifications
- Utilise a range of hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment to fabricate components
- Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics to guide fabrication work
- Cut, shape, and assemble metal parts using appropriate tools and techniques
- Conduct quality checks on welded joints and fabricated parts to ensure compliance with standards
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to health and safety regulations
- Collaborate with team members to meet production deadlines and optimise workflow
- Assist in the assembly of fabricated components into finished products as require
Requirements
- Onsite installation within a food manufacturing environment experience essential
- Proven experience in TIG welding is essential
- Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment for fabrication tasks
- Strong understanding of sheet metal work and mechanical principles
- Ability to read technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics accurately
- Basic mathematical skills for measurements, calculations, and adjustments during fabrication
- Knowledge of safety procedures related to welding and metal fabrication environments
- Mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot common issues during fabrication processes
- Experience in assembly work is desirable but not essential
- Good organisational skills with an eye for detail to ensure high-quality output
