We are looking for a reliable 7.5 tonne driver to join our team on a full-time, permanent basis.
This is a Monday to Friday role operating on a tachograph, combining vehicle recovery work with planned vehicle movements.
The Role
You will be responsible for:
- Attending breakdowns and recovering vehicles
- Transporting vehicles safely to customers, garages or storage locations
- Carrying out a mix of roadside and pre-planned movements (including dealership work)
This is a hands-on role involving both driving and customer interaction. A professional and calm approach is essential.
Working Hours
- Monday to Friday
- 07:00 – 18:00 (or similar)
- Operating on tachograph rules
- 1 hour unpaid break per day
Finish times may vary depending on workload, so flexibility is required.
What to Expect
- Mix of recovery and planned vehicle movements
- Varied workload – no two days are the same
- Overtime available
- Some days will be busy, others quieter – drivers are expected to remain productive
Requirements
- Full UK licence with 7.5 tonne entitlement (C1)
- Driver CPC
- Comfortable working on a tachograph
- Basic mechanical knowledge (jump starts, wheel changes)
- Good attitude and willingness to work
- Ability to work independently
Salary:
£35,000 – £38,000 per annum, with earning potential dependent on experience and additional hours worked.
