We specialise in the collection and disposal of hazardous, clinical and offensive waste streams however this role in particular is for our hygiene arm of the business servicing feminine hygiene unts, nappy units and air fresheners across a wide range of sectors.
Our valued customers include dental and orthodontic practices, schools and academies, veterinary practices, hospices, funeral directors, nursing homes, tattooists, and aesthetic clinics across Kent, Sussex, Surrey, and South London.

Your Typical Day
Your day will start early from our yard in Horsmonden, where you will collect your van and begin your scheduled service route.
No two days are the same. You will visit multiple customer sites to carry out services such as:
- Servicing washroom products such as feminine hygiene units, nappy units and air fresheners.
- Occasional ad-hoc confidential waste collections
- Delivering products to customers
- Managing customer instals
Duties
- Perform thorough cleaning of hygiene units, from customer premises including offices, washrooms, and communal areas, following specified protocols.
- Use appropriate cleaning equipment and chemicals to ensure effective disinfection and sanitation.
- Servicing and maintaining cleanliness of air fresheners
- Report any maintenance issues or hazards identified during cleaning activities to the service manager.
- Follow health and safety guidelines at all times to prevent accidents or contamination.
- Ensure all cleaning tasks are completed within designated timeframes while maintaining high-quality standards.
After each service, you will accurately log the collection details and obtain a customer signature using our bespoke tablet system.
You will transport the waste back to our waste transfer facility and unload the items collected appropriately daily then enter the office for a debrief with your manager before restocking your van ready for the next days route. Some days you may finish early, and on occasion there may be flexibility to take the vehicle home.
Day-to-Day Duties
- Deliver outstanding customer service at every visit
- Follow service routes and complete collections efficiently and on time
- Manage customer stock and service schedules
- Log all collection data accurately using the tablet system
- Collect and handle waste in line with Duty of Care regulations and training
- Deliver products with knowledge of our full service offering
- Carry out daily vehicle checks and keep the van clean, including regular jet washing
What We’re Looking For
This is a physically active role involving lifting, emptying bins bagged waste into the van, and unloading again at our waste transfer station. You must be self-motivated, organised, and capable of working independently while representing the company professionally.
You will be the face of WGS Waste Management, so a friendly, personable, and professional manner is essential.
Essential Requirements
- Aged over 24 (for insurance purposes)
- Full UK manual driving licence with at least 2 years’ experience with no more than six penalty points
- Confident driving a transit van
- Willingness to undergo an Enhanced DBS check
- Previous multi-drop or customer-facing driving experience is desirable
- Excellent timekeeping and organisational skills
- Positive attitude with pride in your work
- Strong communication skills and team spirit
- Willingness to learn with a can-do approach
