Job Overview
Eurogreen Environmental Ltd is seeking a reliable and hardworking Telehandler Operator to join our team at our Worthing site. The successful candidate will play a key role in the day-to-day operation of the yard, ensuring landscape products are bagged, stored, and loaded efficiently while maintaining high standards of housekeeping and equipment care.
Key Responsibilities
- Operating a telehandler safely and efficiently throughout the site.
- Bagging landscape products to meet daily production requirements.
- Loading lorries with bagged products and bulk landscaping materials.
- Loading small vans with loose aggregates and bagged products.
- Maintaining a good stock of bagged products ready for customer collections and deliveries.
- Preparing and bagging products for the following day's loading schedule.
- Keeping the front yard, loading areas, and storage areas clean, tidy, and well organised.
- Ensuring the yard operates efficiently and safely at all times.
- Carrying out routine telehandler maintenance, including:
- Daily inspections
- Greasing
- Checking oil, fuel, and fluid levels
- Reporting defects promptly
- Maintaining the telehandler in a clean and serviceable condition.
- Following all company health and safety procedures.
Requirements
- Previous experience operating a telehandler.
- Valid telehandler certificate/licence (preferred).
- Experience working within a yard, landscaping, construction, or aggregates environment.
- Good awareness of health and safety practices.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Positive attitude and strong work ethic.
