We are seeking a dedicated IAP Residential Support Worker (Relief) to join our team in Poole, Dorset. This vital role involves providing high-quality, person-centred care to residents within our supported living services. As a Relief Support Worker, you will play a key part in ensuring continuity of care and supporting the day-to-day needs of individuals in a respectful and professional manner.
- Deliver personalised care and support to residents in line with their Individualised Support Plans (IAPs).
- Assist with daily living activities including personal hygiene, meal preparation, medication administration, and mobility support.
- Promote independence and social inclusion by encouraging participation in community activities and skill development.
- Maintain accurate records and report any changes in residents’ health or behaviour promptly.
- Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams including healthcare professionals, social workers, and families.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and safeguarding policies at all times.
- Provide relief cover flexibly to support service continuity across shifts as required.
- Previous experience in a residential care or supported living environment preferred.
- Relevant qualifications in Health and Social Care (e.g., NVQ Level 2 or 3) are desirable but not essential as full training will be provided.
- Understanding of safeguarding principles and confidentiality.
- Ability to communicate effectively with residents, families, and colleagues.
- Commitment to person-centred care and promoting dignity and respect.
- Flexibility to work various shifts including evenings, weekends, and bank holidays.
- Competitive hourly pay between £12.75 and £13.88.
