Healthcare Assistant (Domiciliary Care) – Truro & Camborne
Job Overview
We are looking for compassionate and reliable Healthcare Assistants to join our domiciliary care team, supporting clients in their own homes across the Truro and Camborne areas. The role involves assisting with personal care, daily living activities, and promoting clients' independence, dignity, and well-being.
Please note: We are currently unable to offer Certificates of Sponsorship (CoS) for this position. Applicants must have the right to work in the UK.
A full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle are essential, as travel between clients' homes is required.
Responsibilities
- Assist clients with personal care tasks, including washing, dressing, and meal support.
- Support clients in accordance with their individual care plans.
- Encourage activities that promote physical, emotional, and mental well-being.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date care records.
- Communicate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare professionals.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients.
Skills & Experience
- Ability to travel independently between care visits.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Understanding of care plans and domiciliary care procedures.
- Good written and spoken English.
- Basic IT skills for accurate record keeping.
- Previous experience in domiciliary care or a similar care setting is desirable but not essential.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Zero hours contract
Pay: £13.50 per hour
