E-commerce Product Research & Listing Assistant

Overview
BLXCK K-Pop Store is an independent retail business specialising in K-pop, anime, manhwa and Asian pop-culture merchandise.
We are looking for an efficient, detail-oriented E-commerce Product Research & Listing Assistant to help create and manage product listings across Vinted, eBay and Shopify.
You will be provided with product photographs and will be responsible for analysing the images, identifying the product, researching relevant information and creating an accurate and well-presented listing.
Our stock covers a wide variety of products, so you must either already be familiar with, or be confident researching, areas including:
- K-pop albums, photocards and official merchandise
- Anime and manga merchandise
- BL / Yaoi merchandise
- Korean and Japanese manhwa
- Studio Ghibli merchandise
- POP MART and blind-box collectibles
- Figures and character merchandise
- Acrylic stands and acrylic merchandise
- Plush toys and character toys
- Collectible cards and other small collectibles
- Japanese, Korean and Chinese pop-culture merchandise
You do not need to know every product immediately, but you must be confident identifying unfamiliar items through independent online research.
This role would suit someone who is naturally quick at recognising products, searching for information online and working accurately without needing detailed instructions for every listing.
Duties
- Create accurate product listings across Vinted, eBay and Shopify using photographs supplied by BLXCK K-Pop Store.
- Analyse product photographs and identify the item, character, artist, group, series, brand or collection where possible.
- Research unfamiliar products using reliable online sources.
- Create clear, searchable and accurate product titles.
- Identify relevant keywords that customers are likely to search for.
- Select the correct category, brand and product type for each marketplace.
- Write concise and accurate product descriptions.
- Assess the visible condition of products from photographs and describe any noticeable marks, damage, missing packaging or other issues accurately.
- Estimate product size categories from photographs where exact measurements are not available, for example identifying whether an acrylic stand is small, medium or large.
- Distinguish between different types of merchandise such as photocards, postcards, acrylic stands, keychains, badges, figures, plush toys and other collectibles.
- Identify characters, K-pop idols, groups, anime series, manhwa titles and brands where reasonably possible.
- Research whether merchandise appears to be official, licensed or from a particular collection where sufficient information is available.
- Check existing BLXCK K-Pop Store listings to maintain consistent wording, formatting and product categorisation.
- Adapt listings appropriately for different platforms rather than simply copying the same information across Vinted, eBay and Shopify.
- Ensure listings contain all important information while remaining easy for customers to read.
- Work through batches of products efficiently while maintaining a high level of accuracy.
- Flag products where identification, condition or other information cannot be determined confidently rather than guessing.
- Keep product information organised and communicate clearly when additional photographs or measurements are required.
What We Are Looking For
The ideal candidate will be:
- Fast and efficient when working through large numbers of products.
- Very comfortable researching products independently online.
- Good at analysing photographs and noticing small details.
- Able to make sensible judgements from limited information.
- Accurate and detail-oriented.
- Familiar with online marketplaces such as eBay, Vinted and/or Shopify.
- Familiar with K-pop, anime, manga, manhwa, BL/Yaoi, Studio Ghibli, POP MART, figures, toys and Asian pop-culture merchandise.
- Able to recognise common merchandise formats and collectible items.
- Confident using search engines, image searches and marketplace sold/listed items to identify products.
- Able to write clear English product titles and descriptions.
- Reliable and able to work independently.
- Comfortable asking when unsure rather than entering inaccurate information.
Previous experience with e-commerce, marketplace listings, collectibles, K-pop, anime merchandise or product research would be particularly beneficial.
Pay: £13.00-£15.00 per hour
