Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Painter and Decorator to join our dynamic team. Duties
- Prepare surfaces thoroughly by cleaning, sanding, filling cracks, and applying primer to ensure optimal paint adhesion.
- Apply paints, varnishes, wallpapers, and other decorative finishes with precision and attention to detail.
- Use a variety of tools such as brushes, rollers, spray guns, and scaffolding to achieve smooth, even coatings.
- Follow project specifications and safety guidelines to complete work efficiently and safely within deadlines.
- Communicate effectively with clients and team members to understand decorating requirements and provide updates on progress.
- Maintain a clean work environment by organizing tools and disposing of waste responsibly throughout each project.
- Drive company vehicles as needed to transport materials and equipment between job sites.
Skills
- Proven experience in construction painting and decorating with a strong portfolio of completed projects.
- Excellent communication skills in English to collaborate effectively with clients and team members.
- Ability to operate various painting tools and equipment safely and efficiently.
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on achieving high-quality finishes.
- Valid driving license with the ability to operate a vehicle for work-related travel.
- Good physical stamina for standing, climbing ladders, lifting heavy materials, and working at heights.
- Knowledge of safety procedures related to construction sites and painting environments.
- Must have NVQ or similar qualifications
