Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Breakfast Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of breakfast dishes, ensuring high standards of food quality and presentation. Duties
- Prepare and cook breakfast items according to recipes and presentation standards
- Prepare for lunch time service with the team of chefs
- Ensure all food is prepared in accordance with food safety and hygiene regulations
- Assist in menu planning and ingredient selection for breakfast offerings
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area at all times
- Manage stock levels and notify management of any shortages or supply issues
- Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure timely service and customer satisfaction
- Monitor food quality during preparation and service, making adjustments as necessary
- Adhere to health and safety procedures, including proper handling of kitchen equipment and utensils
Requirements
- Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or a similar role within a restaurant or hospitality setting
- Strong knowledge of culinary techniques, meal preparation, and food safety standards
- Previous kitchen experience with the ability to work efficiently under pressure
- Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail in food presentation and hygiene practices
- Ability to work early mornings and flexible hours as required for breakfast service
- Good communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
- Previous experience serving guests or customers is desirable but not essential
