Overview
Due to expansion, we are seeking two 4 on 4 off drivers for immediate starts. The successful candidate will be responsible for safely transporting fresh produce across various routes, predominantly in the South of England, on a four on four off basis - with regular overtime available. This role is for a transport division for a well established fresh produce grower and trader.
Duties
- Operate refrigerated trailers on routes across the UK.
- Occasional need for loading and unloading at deliveries.
- Conduct daily vehicle inspections and report any maintenance issues promptly
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation and logs in accordance with company policies
- Adhere to all road safety regulations and company procedures during transit
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and warehouse teams regarding delivery schedules and any delays
Requirements
- Valid UK license with C+E entitlement.
- Minimum 18 months experience as an HGV driver - this is a stipulation under our insurance terms.
- Experience with refrigerated trailers is desirable but not essential.
- Strong understanding of road safety regulations and compliance standards
- Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage time effectively
- Ability to work independently and responsibly under pressure
