We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic café assistant/barista Team Member to join our passionate , hard working, lovely team. The role is a weekend/holiday seasonal position until the end of October but with the potential of the role being extended depending on business needs. Applicants must be available to work Saturdays and be over 18.
Your primary responsibilities will include welcoming guests, making drinks including coffee machine work, taking orders, cleaning, handling money, washing up, cashing up and closing the business.
When fully trained applicants will be required to work 10/11am start until 4.30/5 pm most Saturdays with the addition of some Sundays. Plus must be available most of the holidays to cover extra week days.
Responsibilities
- Cutting cakes
- Handling cash and cashing up
- Closing the business on your own
- Greeting customers and taking orders
- Making drinks (including use of coffee machine)
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely service during peak hours.
- Participate in regular cleaning schedules
Qualifications
- Previous experience with a coffee machine is preferable but not essential.
- A passion for chatting to people is a must.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong teamwork skills with a positive attitude towards helping others.
- Flexibility to work various shifts as required by the business needs.
- Confident in closing the business alone when fully trained.
Pay: £12.71 per hour
