Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Sewing Machine Operator to join our dynamic team.
This role can offer flexible hours to suit your needs - Hours will vary depending upon repairs required.
Repairs include Laundry Hamper Bags, Bath Robes, and Boiler Suits
Duties
- Set up and operate sewing machins according to production specifications and guidelines
- Inspect fabrics and finished products to ensure quality standards are met, making adjustments as needed
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring safety procedures are adhered to at all times
- Accurately document production data, including quantities sewn and time spent on each task
- Assist in inventory management by tracking fabric usage and notifying supervisors of supply needs
Skills
- Proven experience operating sewing machines in a manufacturing or warehouse setting
- Strong attention to detail with an eye for quality control
- Ability to follow detailed instructions and work efficiently under deadlines
- Basic understanding of warehouse procedures and safety protocols
- Excellent manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination for precise sewing tasks
- Good communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members
- Flexibility to adapt to changing production needs and prioritize tasks accordingly
Pay: £12.81 per hour
