## About the Role
Rosewood Recruitment are currently recruiting for an experienced **Security Engineer** on behalf of a growing security systems company operating across Kent, London and the wider South East.
This is a predominantly **service, maintenance and small works** position, with some installation work available depending on the engineer's experience and preference.
The company is looking for an experienced engineer who is confident working independently, dealing directly with customers and travelling between sites.
A particularly important part of the role will involve working on **automated gates, barriers and turnstiles**, so experience in this area would be highly advantageous.
## The Role
As a Security Engineer, your responsibilities will include:
* Servicing and maintaining electronic security systems
* Fault finding and carrying out repairs
* Carrying out small works and remedial works
* Working on CCTV systems
* Working on access control and door entry systems
* Working on intruder alarm systems
* Working on automated gates and barriers
* Working on turnstiles where required
* Carrying out testing, diagnostics and system checks
* Completing service reports and relevant documentation
* Liaising with customers and providing professional on-site service
* Working independently while remaining part of a wider engineering team
* Supporting installation projects where required
## About You
The ideal candidate will have several years' experience working as a Security Engineer and will be confident carrying out service and fault-finding work independently.
You should have experience with a combination of:
* CCTV
* Access Control
* Intruder Alarms
* Gate Automation
* Barriers / Turnstiles
* Door Entry Systems
Experience with systems such as **Texecom, Galaxy, Pyronix, Paxton or similar** would be advantageous, although specific manufacturer experience is not essential.
The most important thing is having a strong understanding of security systems and the ability to diagnose and resolve faults effectively.
## Requirements
* Previous experience as a Security Engineer
* Strong service and fault-finding experience
* Experience with CCTV, access control and/or intruder alarms
* Gate automation experience is highly desirable
* Full UK driving licence
* Comfortable travelling across Kent, London and the wider South East
* Willing to travel further afield when required, including occasional work towards Milton Keynes and Birmingham
* Comfortable with occasional overnight stays when required
* Able to work independently and manage your own workload
* Good communication and customer service skills
* Reliable, professional and self-motivated
## Travel
The majority of the company's work is across **Kent**, with additional work throughout **London, the South East, Milton Keynes and Birmingham**.
This is a varied role rather than a position where you will be travelling to the same area every day. Engineers therefore need to be comfortable with travelling as part of the job.
**Door-to-door travel is paid**, meaning travel time in the company vehicle is paid.
Where longer-distance work requires an overnight stay, accommodation will be provided.

## Start Date
