As AIFusionX expands its client delivery capability, we are looking for an experienced and highly motivated technical specialist who is passionate about transforming business challenges into well-designed, maintainable AI solutions.
The Role
This is a key technical delivery position within AIFusionX, combining hands-on AI engineering, solution architecture, systems integration and client collaboration.
You will work closely with the founder and our clients throughout the complete delivery lifecycle—from initial discovery and technical scoping through architecture, development, integration, production deployment and ongoing optimisation.
You will have meaningful ownership of the solutions you deliver, with the freedom to recommend appropriate technologies, influence technical standards and establish reusable foundations that support AIFusionX’s growing portfolio of client projects.
This is an engineering-led role rather than a purely advisory architecture position. We are looking for someone who enjoys turning ideas into working technology and takes pride in building secure, scalable and professionally engineered solutions.

Key responsibilities
- Participate in client discovery sessions to understand processes, systems and business challenges.
- Translate business requirements into clearly defined technical solutions and delivery plans.
- Design secure, scalable and cost-effective AI architectures.
- Build AI assistants, RAG applications, intelligent workflows and agent-based solutions.
- Integrate AI services with client applications, databases, documents and third-party platforms.
- Connect systems using APIs, webhooks and automation technologies.
- Develop lightweight web applications, internal tools and client-facing AI portals.
- Deploy solutions using appropriate cloud, container and serverless technologies.
- Implement authentication, permissions, logging and data-protection controls.
- Evaluate and select suitable models, platforms, frameworks and vendors.
- Estimate development effort, cloud costs and AI token consumption.
- Test and monitor solution quality, security, performance, latency and cost.
- Produce architecture diagrams, technical specifications and operational documentation.
- Build reusable components and reference architectures for future client engagements.
- Support demonstrations, proposals and technical discussions with prospective clients.
- Provide clear handover and ongoing support for deployed solutions.
Essential experience
- Strong commercial experience in AI engineering, software engineering or solution architecture.
- Proven experience designing and deploying production-ready generative AI solutions.
- Strong Python development and API-integration skills.
- Practical knowledge of LLMs, prompt engineering, embeddings, RAG, vector databases and AI agents.
- Experience with OpenAI, Azure OpenAI or comparable enterprise AI platforms.
- Cloud architecture and deployment experience across Azure, AWS or Google Cloud.
- Experience with databases, data pipelines and document-processing solutions.
- Knowledge of Docker, Git, CI/CD and production monitoring.
- Understanding of authentication, access control, secrets management and secure API design.
- Working knowledge of UK GDPR, data privacy and responsible AI practices.
- Ability to produce clear solution designs and then personally implement them.
- Strong client-facing communication and stakeholder-management skills.
- Ability to work independently in an early-stage, delivery-focused environment.
Desirable experience
- Integration experience with Microsoft 365, SharePoint, Teams, CRM, ERP or accounting platforms.
- Experience with frameworks such as LangChain, LangGraph, Semantic Kernel or LlamaIndex.
- Knowledge of vector technologies such as Azure AI Search, Pinecone, Weaviate or pgvector.
- Experience delivering technology solutions for SMEs.
- Understanding of workflow platforms such as Power Automate, Make, n8n or Zapier.
- Full-stack experience with React, Next.js, Node.js or similar technologies.
- Experience estimating and demonstrating the measurable ROI of AI implementations.
- Previous consultancy, technical pre-sales or start-up experience.
Pay: £600.00-£700.00 per day
