As a Supervisor you'll play a crucial role in ensuring the success of our grounds maintenance operations. Your responsibilities will include:
- Leading the team to ensure the site is kept to the highest horticultural standards. Overseeing the maintenance of formal lawns, shrub beds, training areas and various grass and artificial sports pitches.
- Ensuring the team adhere to the strict H&S procedures at all times and reviewing works completed to ensure they meet the high expectations of the client.
- Engaging with the client regularly to ensure reactive tasks are completed in a timely manner, complete report and audits, as well as attending regular client meetings and site walks.
- To be conversant with the needs of the client’s contractual terms and to attend site meetings etc in the absence of the contract manager.
- Conducting regular inspections of grounds to identify extra maintenance works and address any client issues promptly
- Monitoring stock levels of tools, and supplies on your site, working with your Contract Manager as appropriate.
What we're looking for:
- Previous experience in grounds maintenance or landscaping, with demonstrated leadership abilities.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with team members, supervisors, and external stakeholders.
- Knowledge of grounds keeping techniques, equipment, and a commitment to Health and Safety policies, procedures as well as COSHH.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks
- Flexibility to work outdoors in various weather conditions and adapt to changing priorities.
- A passion for creating and maintaining beautiful outdoor spaces.
- A commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion in the workplace.
- Full UK Driving Licence is essential, with experience using ride of machinery and tractors.
