Due to continuous growth and investment, we are seeking to recruit a new Injection Moulding Machine Setter, who will have the opportunity to join an exciting and innovative workplace, working with state-of-the-art machinery and equipment.
As a Injection Moulding Technician, you will work:

The working pattern is Monday to Friday, consisting of two days at 8:00–17:00, two days at 8:00–20:00, and Fridays at 8:00–14:00.

About The Role
Key Responsibilities
Maintenance Support (PM & AM):
-
Assist in execution of planned maintenance schedule.

Perform autonomous maintenance tasks including inspection, cleaning and lubrication

Support breakdown response activities
-
Maintain accurate maintenance records
-
Contribute to root cause analysis and corrective actions
Support to Machine Setters:
-
Assist with tool changes, start-ups and shutdowns
-
Prepare moulds and ancillary equipment
-
Monitor cycle times and scrap rates
Equipment & Process Monitoring:
-
Conduct routine machine checks
-
Identify and escalate performance or quality issues
-
Support optimisation of cycle times and reduction of unplanned downtime
Health, Safety & Quality:
-
Follow all safety procedures and risk assessments
-
Support quality standards and audits
-
Maintain a clean and organised work area
Continuous Improvement:
-
Support lean initiatives and downtime reduction
-
Provide feedback on recurring issues
Required Criteria
-
3 –5 years' hands-on experience in injection moulding machine setting in a high-volume manufacturing environment.

Proven knowledge of robotic automation, including setup and optimisation of Cartesian and 6-axis robots.

Experience working within a TPM framework, with a strong focus on autonomous maintenance.

Good mechanical aptitude with experience in identifying root causes and implementing sustainable solutions.

Competent in using measurement equipment and interpreting technical drawings

Good understanding of thermoplastics, tooling, and injection moulding processes.

Familiarity with leading moulding machine brands such as Engel, Demag,
- Strong team player with good communication skills and a commitment to continuous improvement.
Desired Criteria
-
NVQ / BTEC in Polymer Processing, Mechanical Engineering, or Mechatronics.

Relevant Polymer Processing / Injection Moulding certification from recognised training provider
- Exposure to Lean Manufacturing, 5S, or Six Sigma methodologies.
