Job Summary
We are seeking enthusiastic and professional Bar Staff to join our vibrant team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing excellent customer service, preparing and serving beverages, and ensuring a welcoming environment for all customers. This role offers an opportunity to work in a lively hospitality setting, where attention to detail and a friendly attitude are essential. Previous experience in a restaurant or bar environment is preferred but not mandatory, as comprehensive training will be provided. Applicants must demonstrate strong time management skills and a good understanding of food safety standards to maintain high-quality service.
Duties
- Prepare and serve a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages in accordance with company standards
- Greet customers warmly and take drink orders efficiently
- Ensure the bar area is clean, organised, and well-stocked at all times
- Check identification to verify legal drinking age in compliance with licensing laws
- Handle cash and card transactions accurately using the point-of-sale system
- Maintain knowledge of menu offerings, including special promotions or seasonal drinks
- Assist with setting up and clearing tables as needed during busy periods
- Provide exceptional customer service by engaging with customers in a friendly manner
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during shifts
Experience
- Previous experience in hospitality, particularly within a bar or restaurant setting, is desirable but not essential as training will be provided
- Knowledge of food safety standards and responsible alcohol service is advantageous
- Basic maths skills for handling transactions accurately
- Proven ability to manage time effectively during busy periods
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work well within a team
