Chestnut Lodge is a specialist care home supporting up to 45 male residents, from working-age adults through to older adults, with a range of complex needs.
About the role
As Operations Manager, you will be coordinating a range of tasks, and managing the administration side of the home to ensure it is running as efficiently as possible. The role has variety, but with heavy focus on rota management, audits, and compliance.
Responsibilities
- Support the day-to-day administration and smooth running of the care home.
- Manage staff rotas, payroll information, recruitment administration and new starter inductions.
- Maintain accurate employee and resident records, ensuring compliance with company policies and CQC requirements.
- Complete and coordinate audits, including health and safety, infection prevention and control, staff files and financial audits.
- Monitor training compliance and support the Registered Manager with governance, complaints and investigations.
- Coordinate maintenance, servicing and ordering of supplies to ensure the home remains safe and well maintained.
- Manage petty cash, resident monies and financial records in line with company procedures.
- Produce reports, maintain databases and support meetings by preparing agendas and taking minutes.
- Promote high standards of confidentiality, professionalism and data protection at all times.
- Undertake any other reasonable duties required to support the effective operation of the care home.
Full training will be provided, but the following would be beneficial;
- Previous rota management
- Previous managerial experience
- Expert in MS office, in particular excel and word
- A-levels or equivalent
- Excellent telephone manner
- Accuracy and attention to detail
- Team player with ability to work on own initiative
- Clear understanding and practise of GDPR and confidentiality
