What can you expect?
We are seeking a Newly Qualified Solicitor to join our highly regarded Clinical Negligence team, supporting Samantha Critchley, in London.
This is an excellent opportunity to develop your career within a team known for its technical expertise and client-focused approach, working on a broad range of complex and sensitive clinical negligence matters.
You will work closely with experienced lawyers on high-value claims, gaining exposure to both claimant work and strategic litigation, while developing your technical and client-handling skills in a supportive and collaborative environment.
Responsibilities

Proactively run own caseload as well as assisting and supporting senior fee earners on varied and complex clinical negligence claims.

Support the investigation and progression of claims, including obtaining medical records, instructing experts, and analysing evidence.

Draft legal documents including letters of claim, pleadings, witness statements, and settlement documents.

Conduct legal research and prepare client briefings and case summaries.

Liaise with clients, counsel, medical experts, and other stakeholders in a professional and empathetic manner.

Assist with case management, including compliance with court deadlines and procedural requirements.

Accurate and efficient recording of time and effective diary management

Contribute to team knowledge, know-how, and business development initiatives where appropriate
Experience and Knowledge
-
Qualified Solicitor in England & Wales (NQ level).

Completion of a training seat in Clinical Negligence, Personal Injury, or a closely related litigation area is desirable.

Strong academic background and excellent drafting, analytical, and communication skills.

A genuine interest in clinical negligence work and a commitment to delivering high-quality client service.

Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.

A proactive and commercially aware approach.
