Job description
We are looking for an enthusiastic, motivated and proactive individuals to help at The Hub Café at Bawsey Country Park.
The Hub Café serves a wide range of freshly prepared hot food and drinks, along with snacks, cold drinks, and a range of soft scoop ice cream during the summer months. Your duties will include the preparation, cooking and serving of food to customers so you will need to be capable of handling, at busy times, a high volume of customers in a welcoming and friendly manner. The ideal candidate will have experience in the hospitality industry and be familiar with all current food hygiene standards and regulations.
The Hub Café is in its early years so we are looking for someone with drive, ambition and imagination to join the The Hub team and help grow the business.
Experience
To be successful in this role, you should have the following qualifications:
- Strong knowledge of kitchen operations, food safety standards, and culinary practices
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
You should be of smart appearance, be polite and approachable and have a flexible attitude.
The Hub Café is open every day, including weekends, bank holidays and some evenings depending on events at the Country Park, so working hours are flexible and will be in agreement with The Hub Manager to ensure there is the correct level of cover at all times.
