Overview
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Deli Manager to lead our deli team and ensure the delivery of high-quality food services. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive cooking/baking knowledge, and a passion for exceptional customer service. This role offers an exciting opportunity to oversee daily operations, manage staff, and uphold food safety standards within a fast-paced environment. Previous experience in food preparation, cooking/baking, supervising teams, and hospitality is essential for success in this position.
Duties
- Oversee daily deli operations, ensuring efficient workflow and high standards of food quality, organising the creation and delivery of buffets and sandwich orders, along with internal site orders of cakes and other home baked goods.
- Lead, motivate, and supervise the deli team to deliver excellent customer service and maintain a positive working environment.
- Prepare and cook a variety of deli items, ensuring consistency in taste and presentation.
- Manage food production processes, including ordering supplies, stock control, and waste minimisation.
- Ensure compliance with all food safety regulations and maintain cleanliness standards across the premises.
- Train staff on food preparation techniques, safety procedures, and customer service protocols.
- Monitor customer feedback and implement improvements to enhance overall satisfaction.
- Collaborate with other departments to coordinate promotions, menu updates, and special events.
- Maintain accurate records of sales, inventory, and staff schedules.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, and supervising within a fast-paced environment.
- Strong team management skills with the ability to lead by example and foster a collaborative atmosphere.
- Extensive knowledge of food safety standards and best practices in food production.
- Previous experience in hospitality or catering roles such as serving or barista work is advantageous.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently.
- Leadership qualities with a focus on training, mentoring, and developing team members.
- Knowledge of kitchen operations and culinary techniques relevant to deli services.
Pay: £27,000.00 per year
