Job Title: Dental Practice Administrator
Location: Alvechurch Dental Practice
Hours: Approx. 20-25 hours per week (over 4–5 days, school hours considered)
Salary: Dependent on experience
Are you an experienced dental administrator who thrives on organisation, accuracy, and getting things done properly? We’re looking for someone who takes ownership, follows through, and can help drive a practice forward.
We are a well-established, family-run dental practice in Alvechurch, seeking a highly organised and proactive Dental Practice Administrator to support the operational and administrative running of the practice.
This role suits someone detail-focused and commercially aware, who is confident managing reports, tracking performance, and ensuring nothing slips through the cracks.
Key Responsibilities:
Monitoring and managing the clinical diary to ensure efficiency and utilisation
Running and reviewing key reports (NHS, private, debtors, open COTs, chair time)
Ensuring consistent follow-up on incomplete treatment, FTAs, and outstanding items
Submitting and tracking NHS claims (COTs) accurately
Maintaining compliance systems and up-to-date documentation
Supporting payroll preparation and basic financial processes
Managing staff administration (rotas, holidays, training records)
Liaising with external providers (maintenance, services, suppliers)
Ordering stock and overseeing general administrative processes
Supporting the team with day-to-day operational issues
Providing reception cover when required
What We’re Looking For:
Previous dental administration/reception experience (essential)
Confident with SOE/Exact software
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Able to track, follow up, and complete tasks consistently
Proactive and able to identify improvements in systems and processes
Comfortable working independently and taking initiative
Organised, reliable, and solution-focused
