We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic and self-motivated Library Advisor who has strong IT skills and a passion for literacy. You will work as part of the library team at Eastbourne whose primary focus is ensuring equal access to books, resources, IT and safe space for students to learn and unwind in. The library team pride themselves in providing a safe and inclusive service that is designed to meet the needs of the whole college community.
This exciting role will include:
- Delivering excellent front-line customer service and responding to a wide range of library and IT-related enquiries.
- Supporting students to access library resources, use online systems and develop their digital skills using Microsoft 365 and Google applications.
- Promoting reading, literacy and independent learning through displays, activities and one-to-one support.
- Helping to maintain a safe, inclusive and welcoming study environment where all students can thrive.
If you can demonstrate the following, then we’d love to hear from you:
- Level 2 English and Maths and a Level 3 qualification (or equivalent).
- Excellent customer service and communication skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students and staff from a wide range of backgrounds.
- Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office 365 and cloud-based applications such as Google Drive and Google Classroom.
- The ability to troubleshoot basic IT issues, manage competing priorities and work effectively as part of a busy team.

Annual salary: Circa £24,500 per annum, pro rata based on hours worked and term-time weeks
