Job Overview
We are looking for enthusiastic and motivated Qualified Dental Nurse or Trainee Dental Nurse to join our friendly and long established practices on either a Full Time or Part Time basis.
Experience is not essential as training will be given.
We will support the Trainee Dental nurse to undertake their Apprenticeship Level 3 Diploma in Dental Nursing,
We will also provide you with opportunities to advance your career and enhance your nursing skills for general dentistry, cosmetic dentistry, oral surgery and implants.
Please note, it is recommended that all healthcare workers are fully Covid-19 vaccinated and you will also require Hep B vaccinations (which we can provide) in addition to all standard vaccinations to join our practice.
The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care, assisting dentists during procedures, and ensuring the smooth operation of the practice. This position requires strong communication and organisational skills, as well as a commitment to maintaining high standards of hygiene and patient comfort.
Duties
- Assist the dentist with various treatments
- Provide support to patients during their treatment
- Undertake Clinical charting and keeping accurate records using our specific dental software
- Decontamination of dental instruments
- Preparing and maintaining the clinical and practice environment to a specified standard
- Follow practice policies and procedures, including cross infection control and health & safety.
- Assist with reception duties and perform other clerical duties if required
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Dental Nurse is preferred, but not essential for enthusiastic candidates willing to learn.
- GCSE in English and Maths required for the Trainee Dental nurse to undertake their Apprenticeship Level 3 Diploma in Dental Nursing,
- Good organisational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently within a busy environment.
- Basic IT skills for managing patient records and scheduling appointments.
