Job Description
Grange Quarry are actively looking for a skilled, reliable safety focused Plant Operator, they must have previous experience ideally ready to hit the ground running in a busy quarry environment. Experienced with heavy plant equipment within quarry operations ie operate 360° excavator and monitor crushing, screening and conveying equipment. The ideal candidate should have Level 2 or 3 and be a good team player.
Responsibilities and Duties
Quarry
· Operate quarry machinery and plant equipment to ensure continuity of flow, safety and efficient operation in order to maximise production
· Maintain quarry machinery and plant equipment, ensuring any faults and defects are reported immediately
· Monitor operations to ensure that Health & Safety standards are met
· Ensure all relevant records are kept up to date and accurate, i.e. defect sheets, risk assessments
Personal
· Ensure appropriate Protective Personal Equipment (PPE) is worn at all times
· Ensure your own Health & Safety and that of others
· Attend and undertake appropriate training as required
· Interact with customers in a professional manner
· Submit timesheets to the office in a timely manner to ensure payroll can be processed on time
· Any other duties identified by your Line Manager
