Laws Landscapes is now expanding, which has brought an opportunity for someone to join our team. We are looking for reliable, hard-working people with a full UK driving licence, ideally able to tow and drive a ride on mower).
We maintain commercial sites for house builders and look after the mowing, strimming and hedge cutting of building plots and public open spaces.
This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about horticulture, landscaping, and outdoor maintenance to develop their skills within a professional setting.
Duties
- Perform landscape maintenance tasks including mowing, pruning, planting, and fertilising to uphold the visual appeal of grounds.
- Operate mechanical equipment such as excavators and power tools safely and efficiently.
- Maintain irrigation systems to ensure proper water distribution and health of plants.
- Use hand tools for planting, trimming, and general grounds upkeep.
- Conduct routine inspections of outdoor areas to identify and address maintenance issues promptly.
- Assist with construction-related tasks related to site development or improvements.
- Carry out general gardening duties including weed control.
- Ensure all equipment is maintained in good working order through regular servicing and repairs.
- Follow health and safety protocols at all times to prevent accidents or injuries on site.
Skills
- Proven experience in landscape maintenance or gardening.
- Mechanical knowledge related to the operation and maintenance of machinery such as excavators and other power tools.
- Proficiency with hand tools used in gardening and construction tasks.
- Strong understanding of horticulture principles.
- Ability to perform routine maintenance on equipment and grounds efficiently.
- Good organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
- Physical fitness to undertake manual labour outdoors in varying weather conditions.
