Overview
We are seeking a reliable and motivated Delivery Driver and Warehouse Operative to join our team. This role involves delivering goods to clients efficiently while also supporting warehouse operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring timely deliveries, maintaining safety standards, and assisting with stock management. Previous experience in delivery driving and warehouse work is preferred, along with excellent communication skills and physical fitness.
Duties
- Safely operate company vehicles, including vans and lorries, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations.
- Deliver goods to various locations promptly and professionally, ensuring accurate order fulfilment.
- Assist with loading and unloading stock, including heavy lifting where necessary.
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation and update logs regularly.
- Support warehouse activities such as stock organisation, inventory checks, and replenishment tasks.
- Ensure the warehouse is kept clean, organised, and compliant with health and safety standards.
- Communicate effectively with team members and clients regarding delivery schedules or any issues encountered during routes.
- Perform routine vehicle inspections and report any maintenance needs promptly.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a delivery driver.
- Valid driver’s licence with a clean driving record.
- Previous warehouse experience is advantageous.
- Ability to undertake heavy lifting safely and perform physically demanding tasks regularly.
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills to liaise effectively with colleagues and clients.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a team.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing schedules or routes as required.
Pay: From £25,000.00 per year
