We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Therapist to join our dental practice. Duties
- Assist dentists during various dental procedures, including restorative and preventive treatments
- Conduct initial patient assessments and prepare patients for treatment
- Perform routine dental procedures such as fillings, extractions, and root canal treatments under supervision
- Take and interpret medical imaging, including X-rays, ensuring accurate diagnosis and treatment planning
- Utilise CAD (Computer-Aided Design) software for designing dental prostheses or restorations when required
- Maintain accurate patient records and update treatment notes in compliance with data protection regulations
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care instructions
- Ensure the clinical environment adheres to health and safety standards at all times
- Support the organisation of appointments and manage patient flow efficiently
Qualifications
- recognised qualification as a Dental Therapist from an accredited institution
- Knowledge of anatomy relevant to dental practice and oral structures
- Proficiency in using EXACT software for dental applications is desirable
- Experience with medical imaging techniques, particularly X-ray interpretation, is preferred
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills to effectively liaise with patients and team members
- Ability to work independently while maintaining collaborative team relationships
- Commitment to continuous professional development and staying updated with industry advancements
