Premium Hospitality Assistant Manager

This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys leading teams, maintaining high service standards and ensuring guests receive an excellent dining experience.
The Role
You will be responsible for:
- Supporting the day-to-day running of the premium dining operation
- Ensuring all service areas are fully prepared, staffed and presented to a high standard
- Supporting smooth and efficient service during busy periods
- Monitoring guest flow and resolving operational issues quickly
- Maintaining excellent standards of cleanliness, presentation and food safety
- Supervising and supporting team members and supervisors
- Leading shift briefings and ensuring effective communication
- Supporting rota planning and staffing levels
- Coaching and developing team members to deliver excellent service
- Supporting recruitment, onboarding and training
- Managing day-to-day team issues and escalating where appropriate
- Creating a welcoming and professional guest experience
- Handling guest queries and complaints confidently
- Monitoring guest feedback and supporting improvements
- Supporting labour cost control and efficient staffing
- Assisting with stock ordering, rotation and control
- Monitoring waste and identifying opportunities to reduce costs
- Ensuring accurate cash handling and financial procedures
- Supporting promotions and upselling opportunities
- Maintaining high standards of food hygiene and allergen management
- Ensuring safe working practices and procedures are followed
- Supporting audits and inspections
- Ensuring team members have the necessary training and certifications
- Working closely with kitchens, other hospitality teams and wider resort departments
- Supporting resort-wide events and busy periods
- Liaising with cleaning, maintenance and supply teams
- Deputising for the senior manager when required
About You
We're looking for someone with:
- Previous experience within a high-volume restaurant, hospitality or food service environment
- Previous supervisory or team leadership experience
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- Good understanding of food safety and hygiene
- Excellent guest service skills
- The ability to remain calm and make decisions in a busy environment
- Strong problem-solving skills
- A hands-on approach to leadership
- Flexibility to work evenings and weekends
Desirable Experience & Qualifications
The following would be advantageous:
- Previous experience within a holiday park, resort or premium dining environment
- Food Safety Level 2 or Level 3
- Personal Licence
- Experience managing rotas and staffing levels
- Cash handling and stock control experience
This role would suit an experienced Assistant Manager, Restaurant Supervisor, F&B Supervisor or Hospitality Supervisor looking to progress within a premium dining environment.
